Jason entered the field of support planning through personal experience-as a parent learning to navigate Minnesota’s waiver and Consumer Directed Community Supports (CDCS) programs. He has been a Certified Support Planner since 2020. Jason served for 23 years with the Mankato Department of Public Safety, including 13 years as a Detective. He now works as a Technology Forensic Analyst with the Rochester Police Department. Jason and his wife Jackie-also a Certified Support Planner with Flex-Pac -live in the Mankato area with their children, four cats, two dogs, and two birds. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement from Minnesota State Univęrsity, Mankato, and a Master of Public Policy and Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In 2019, Jason was appointed by Governor Tim Walz to the Minnesota Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) where he continues to serve on the board and several of its committees.
